XOP Enlists Safety Services from RFCS

February 23, 2018

This week, XOP Networks announced it is deploying Ringdown Firebar Conference Server at six North American Nuclear Power Plants. The RFCS ensures multiple first responders are called in parallel, while improving chances of reaching individual first responders.

The deployment of RFCS meets the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Cyber Security guidelines. It classifies the Emergency Conferencing Service as a Critical Digital Asset and cannot depend on corporate PBX networks for these capabilities.

"As more organizations like these nuclear power facilities become concerned about security and emergency response, XOP Networks continues to help meet these challenges with modern, easy to deploy, and cost-effective solution. We are extremely proud of our active participation in insuring that Nuclear Power Plants meet the standards laid out by the NRC when it comes to physical plant security and emergency response," said Sudhir Gupta, CEO of XOP Networks.

XOP Networks’ RFCS is a feature-rich and extremely safe conferencing system, built for emergency and critical situations. This includes:

  • Multiple Platform Security features
  • Multiple Information Assurance capabilities
  • Highly Configurable
  • Immediate call-out to all responder phones
  • Any phone(s) can be designated as Trigger phones
  • No dialing or access codes needed
  • Calls are made In parallel
  • Hunt operation available for external calls
  • Includes telephone and server equipment

One testimonial stated the benefits of having this service, even in a personal life: "I am seventy-five years old and suffer from severe arthritis in my knees. One afternoon I tripped and fell down while walking in the neighborhood. I could not get up on my own and no one else was around. Fortunately I was carrying my cell phone with me. I pressed the ‘ReachOut and Connect’ service button. Within seconds I was talking to my three sons and my daughter and my daughter-in-law. On the call, we decided which one of my children was closest to me who could come and take me to the emergency room."- John Southerland, Plano, Texas

Partners whom have entrusted in the XOP services include HP, Red Hat, Digium/Asterisk, among many others.  Many offerings are GSA approved.
