ClearOne's Media Collaboration Solution Brings Conferencing Together
Traditional conferencing systems that relied on systems and infrastructure with on premises deployment are no longer the only way to collaborate with remote colleagues. The computing power of mobile devices and wireless broadband has introduced new conferencing capabilities that has changed the industry. As more options become available, bringing them together so the best available solution can be used at the time is essential, which is what ClearOne has done by combining video conferencing, collaboration, and presentation solutions in one converged platform it calls Media Collaboration.
For ClearOne, creating a single converged platform with a consistent user interface and experience for conferencing participants was part of the design in its Media Collaboration. The company develops and sells conferencing, collaboration and network streaming and signage solutions for voice and visual communications. Known for the added functionality, reliability and scalability of the technology it develops, the next evolution for ClearOne was to bring everything together with a powerful and integrated application for any group activity.
According to the company, Media Collaboration is going to bring traditional video conferencing and cloud Web conferencing along with multiuser wireless presentation and merge them together.
"Media Collaboration" represents the confluence of powerful conferencing tools that together provide a range of integrated applications for any group activity. That includes team collaboration, meetings, lectures, presentations, training, corporate communications, product launches, and other multiuse conference room options," said Bala Krishnamoorthy, ClearOne's Senior Director of Product Line Management for MC & UC Voice.
The COLLABORATE Pro series by ClearOne fully integrates media collaboration solutions in a small form factor that can fit in any conference space. It is optimized for simplicity, connectivity, reliability and performance to address the media requirements of organizations for conference rooms, huddle spaces, desktops, or mobile.
COLLABORATE Pro 900 can be used for single and multi-site collaboration with up to 25 locations. Users can join from anywhere for many conferencing and collaboration options, including capture and recording station, streaming and distribution with a single point of support and maintenance.
The company's Spontania platform on the other hand is designed for scale. It gives large organizations the ability to bring together hundreds of users in a single meeting room across multiple devices. It can merge cloud video with web conferencing to connect these multiple sites, whether they are deployed on-premises or as a cloud service on mobile, PC, telephones or room devices. It also provides real-time collaboration with screen sharing, whiteboarding, annotation, file transfer, recording and more wirelessly from your PC or mobile devices onto displays.
