Jenne, Vidyo Ink Deal to Distribute VidyoWorks, VidyoRouter

Jenne, a value-added distributor of technology products relating to voice, video, cloud and networking has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Vidyo to distribute the VidyoWorks platform and the VidyoRouter.

"Video collaboration has become more mainstream and more critical in many customer applications,” said Jenne CEO Dave Johnson. “Jenne's partners are looking to Jenne for more complete solutions across multiple Industries. We are excited to partner with Vidyo to capture this growing market."

The VidyoWorks platform lets developers embed videoconferencing functionality into a number of applications without them having to figure it out on their own, which means that it’s more likely the videoconferencing will actually work right out of the gate. VidyoRouter also connects different devices for videoconferencing.

Jenne focuses on selling value-added solutions to enterprise companies and small-and-medium businesses. While these businesses can certainly acquire products like those from Vidyo directly, the challenge is in setting them up and integrating with the other pieces in their IT infrastructure. Jenne provides the deployment and hand-holding.

Jenne cited Vidyo’s ranking in the Garnet Magic Quadrant for group video systems and the software-based approach to conferencing as reasons for distributing Vidyo’s products. The latter eliminates the need for transcoding different video standards.

At the same time, Vidyo has access to greater markets than they probably could get on their own with Jenne playing matchmaker, though Vidyo already has an impressive client list, including Nintendo, Hitachi, Philips and others.

Vidyo is excited about the partnership.
