LifeSize (News - Alert), a pioneer and major player in high-definition video collaboration, recently added two new members to its Unity Series, LifeSize Unity 1000 and LifeSize Unity 2000.

The newly added all-in-one solutions successfully combine HD video and audio with a sleek display and make it easier to purchase, deploy and use in work environments. They come with the touch-based LifeSize Phone (News - Alert) for intuitive control over video conferencing, audio-only calls or presentations.

In a statement, Michael Helmbrecht, vice president and general manager of video solutions for LifeSize, said, "The new Unity products address a very real industry need: fast, global video deployment that provides a simple experience for both IT administrators and users." "It's also critical that simplicity doesn't come at the expense of quality. We engineered these Unity solutions with the highest quality video and audio components, so every user has a video calling experience that truly replicates an in-person interaction and functions identically from office to office."

LifeSize Unity 1000 is ideal for medium-sized to large conference rooms and consists of a single 55-inch, high-contrast, edge-lit LED display that supports 1080p HD resolution, and up to eight-way multiparty calling.

Featuring two 55-inch, high-contrast, edge-lit LED displays placed side-by-side, LifeSize Unity 2000 is considered ideal for large conference rooms and boardrooms. Powered by LifeSize Room 220 or LifeSize Express 220, each can support up to 1080p HD resolution, an eight-way multiparty call and data sharing.

Built as an integrated solution, the LifeSize Unity Series feature the best available components. Regardless of IT skill level, each device in the series can be assembled by anyone and can be easily deployed or redeployed in conference rooms and boardrooms all over the world.

In related TMC (News - Alert) news, LifeSize unveiled improvements to its bridging portfolio to offer flexible, virtualized multiparty support with LifeSize UVC Multipoint and LifeSize Bridge, now with high-availability clustering.
