Jenne to Distribute LifeSize's Video Conferencing Solutions
Value-added IP telephony distributor Jenne, Inc. has inked a distribution deal with video conferencing solutions provider LifeSize. Under this deal, Jenne will carry entire line of LifeSize Unity Series HD video conferencing solutions.
According to Jenne, Unity is an affordable, simple-to-install, plug-and-play video solution that includes everything an end-customer would need to establish a high quality telepresence for a business – including the television display -- at an economical price, stated Reuters.
In addition, Jenne will be offering the more advanced LifeSize Universal Video Collaboration (UVC) platform, a scalable, single-interface video infrastructure solution. The LifeSize UVC platform is the industry's first fully virtualized solution allowing IT administrators the ability to realize resource savings by allowing multiple applications to run on a single virtual machine-- saving space, power and overall IT costs, claims Jenne.
Jenne said that by adding Unity and UVC to its linecard, the company strengthens its presence as a leading distributor of A/V solutions, while providing a range of innovative options to meet the individual needs of its reseller partners.
Bill Miller, senior manager of A/V Solutions at Jenne, stated, "By providing the most innovative A/V solutions available on the market today, we are helping our reseller customers take advantage of a lucrative and still-emerging market category. By introducing the Unity Series and UVC Platform to complement its existing video solutions, LifeSize has clearly established itself as a leader in providing A/V solutions to regional SMB offices all the way up to the Fortune 500 enterprise level."
As per the description in the report, LifeSize's UVC is compatible with VoIP systems from most major manufacturers, making it easier to expand as end-users requirements grow. This helps create opportunity for VARs to establish long-term upgrade and maintenance relationships with UVC oriented end-customers, asserted Jenne.
