Connexus Picked to Enable Counseling Sessions via Video Conferencing

Connexus, a wholesaler providing video conferencing and network gateway solutions required by conferencing service providers and video conferencing resellers, has been tapped to provide a video conferencing solution for a psychologist.

It was revealed that remote patients will now be able to connect with Psychologist Jameca Falconer and receive counseling via Connexus-on-Demand, a desktop video conferencing service that is based on the Vidyo desktop video conferencing platform.

In a release, Jameca Falconer, founder of Diverse Ventures, the St. Louis-based counseling company, said, “The cost was very important for us. We wanted to provide services to patients in a facility over a hundred miles away that otherwise might not receive one on one counseling.”

“And we knew that to be able to provide services in that facility, we could not afford to send a therapist weekly, nor could we afford to purchase hardware and or software for thousands or even hundreds of dollars per location,” added Falconer. “With Connexus, we are able to purchase services for less than $10.00 per month per location. This kind of pricing, along with the “plug and play” technology and Connexus technical support made this solution possible.”

The Connexus solution was picked above several other offerings due to its unique applications-based pricing employed by the company, according to officials. Connexus enables providers and resellers to easily sell networks, gateways and video conferencing and collaboration services to the SMB marketplace.

Jonathan Schlesinger, founder and CEO of Connexus, stated, “That is the case for a number of solutions we have seen. There are hundreds of powerful videoconferencing solutions; however, many solutions only become viable when the price points are low enough to warrant actual testing and deployment.”

He pointed out that the company strives to ensure that the video conferencing solutions will be suitable for the requirements of different resellers and service providers. The solutions feature HD enterprise quality, delivered cost-effectively. In addition, resellers and service providers will be able to get their cloud-based video conferencing solution running within an hour.

Connexus-on-Demand delivers Vidyo desktop video conferencing to service providers and resellers from the cloud. This enables small- and medium-sized service providers and resellers to offer Vidyo desktop videoconferencing to end-users cost effectively without any additional costs.

Connexus recently provided a unique “just-in-time” video conferencing solution for a U.S. Chamber of Commerce official who needed to address two groups, in different locations, in the same morning. The locations were separated by thousands of miles, too distant to facilitate travel, and neither location had operational video conferencing end points or networks. By connecting to the Vidyo platform over the Internet and using Connexus-on-Demand, the U.S. Chamber official was able to attend both meetings using HD video conferencing.
