DTEN and Zoom Bring AI to Conferencing

March 23, 2018

DTEN and Zoom Video Communications have teamed up for the creation of Board for Zoom Rooms. This new offering is an interactive, adaptive, comprehensive whiteboard for intelligent, face-to-face encounters with cohesive AI technology.

DTEN Board for Zoom Rooms automates and innovates meetings and management with an AI, wireless, personalized video conferencing system. It accommodates all workforces, regardless of size, providing a clean and seamless meeting space to interact.

AI technology allows for automatic speaker tracking, face detection while understanding lighting and audio patterns for easy adaptation when moving to different meeting rooms. Additionally, in case team members are not in attendance, meetings are recorded and can be shared via Zoom cloud so no one misses a beat.

“Zoom is here to take the work out of meetings,” said Oded Gal, head of product management for Zoom. “Working with DTEN is a great way to do that. Teams across the globe are empowered like never before with a new way to collaborate together, as if they were in the same room, instantly and seamlessly every time.”

Main features included in DTEN Board for Zoom Rooms are:

  • AI Powered Face-to-Face Experience: high quality visual and audio allows telecommuting employees the same feel as in-room participants with facial recognition and tracking of lighting, speakers, and visuals to be remembered for all meetings, regardless of space.
  • Clean Meeting Space with Seamless Technology Integration: the interactive whiteboard can be used among  all employees simultaneously with a touch screen, high resolution 4K camera, 16 element mic array, and video conference; any and all spaces can become a comprehensive meeting room; can integrate with current mic and camera system to save on cost.
  • Hassle Free and Affordable Solution: tools are plug-and-play with no learning required or IT support; no prior meeting set up needed.

The idea behind this collaborative video conferencing meeting solution was to simplify life for businesses. That was the core idea in developing DTEN, according to CEO and Founder of the company, Wei Liu.

Liu went on to add: “We’ve all had technology fail us at the most pivotal moments in meetings, whether it’s a reliable internet connection, finding a convenient power source, or figuring out a maze of cables. With DTEN Board anyone can set up and lead great meetings, quickly and simply, with the latest video communications technology at their fingertips. You don’t have to be a technology expert.”
