The Conferencing Zone Week in Review: Pexip, UberConference, and More

November 04, 2017

The Conferencing Zone was all about numbers this week. Videoconferencing is expected to see a huge growth by 2023 while UberConference has surpassed the amount of subscribers even they probably initially envisioned.

The global enterprise videoconferencing market is forecasted to experience a 7.4 percent CAGR through the end of 2023. It is estimated to be worth almost $8 billion by that time, which is not so far off. All of that is according to strategic market research and consulting firm Research Nester. The company published its “Enterprise Video Conferencing Market: Global Demand Analysis & Opportunity Outlook 2023” report.

Continuing with the videoconferencing trend, MediaPlatform announced its partnership with Pexip to empower streaming of virtual meetings to an unlimited audience. The pairing brings together a prominent webcasting solution with a preeminent provider of video conferencing and collaboration, which put the power of seamlessly scalable video enterprise hands. "While large enterprise webcasts were traditionally produced only in studios, we're seeing much more interest now in producing webcast content from a much wider array of sources, including video conferencing end-points, virtual meeting rooms, and Skype for Business," observed Mike Newman, MediaPlatform's CEO.

Finally, UberConference, the conferencing and collaboration service from Dialpad, passed 1.5 million subscribers. Both paid and free plans from the service have seen speedy growth since launching in 2012, with apps available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.  "Our increasingly active user base has been fueled both by Dialpad customers seeking a conferencing solution that is fully integrated with their modern business cloud-based phone system, as well as steady organic growth among standalone UberConference customers who need reliable, manageable and easy to use conferencing,” shared Dialpad co-founder and CEO, Craig Walker.

Be sure to come back early and often next week for news and announcements you will not want to miss!
