Brother International Announce Launch of OmniJoin for Healthcare
OmniJoin, Brother International’s web conferencing division, announced the launch of OmniJoin for Healthcare. A telehealth platform, it offers remote patient-doctor interactions, web/videoconferencing for clinical training, consultations, and managerial meetings. It is HIPAA compliant, meaning it guarantees the privacy of all participating patients.
"OmniJoin has a long history of meeting the needs of our highly secure customers: finance, government and especially healthcare. By introducing this new Healthcare package, we are able to provide the healthcare market with a complete and secure end-to-end web meeting solution that supports telehealth, administrative and training initiatives,” said Gary Sibley, Brother Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Telemedicine is on the rise with patients demanding to be seen remotely. There is a desire for easier doctoral access and insurance companies are now cooperating. With a debilitating disease like Parkinson’s, seeing a doctor in-office is not always a manageable choice. According to a poll by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), 60 percent of doctors have or will implement telemedicine.
Here are the main offerings from OFJ: the aforementioned HIPAA compliance, an online waiting room, interoperability for a unified virtual conference experience, and customizable features. All of it will be on display at the OmniJoin booth #1643 at the MGMA 2017 Annual Conference, held in Anaheim, California. The conference is held October 8-11.
OmniJoin is a public and private cloud provider, with a focus being on security. For telemedicine, security is of utmost importance.
