Revolabs Moves to Boost its Video Conferencing Visibility in Canada

April 14, 2015

One of the hottest areas of technology today is video conferencing. As more and more companies start taking a closer look at their bottom line in the wake of recent economic struggles, companies are realizing that money spent now on a solid video conferencing system will save way more than that initial outlay when they no longer have to pay for airfare and hotels.

It just makes more sense for an employee to walk down the hall and have a virtual “face to face” meeting with someone instead of taking a road trip to do basically the same thing.

One company that’s leading the way in this arena is Massachusetts-based Revolabs, a premier provider of audio solutions for unified communications (UC), enterprise collaboration, and professional audio applications. Having already achieved success here in the states, the company just announced that ScanSource Communications will begin to distribute Revolabs' complete line of telephony products to value-added resellers throughout Canada. Effective immediately, ScanSource will offer Revolabs solutions to the Canadian telephony, IT, data VAR, and UC markets.

"As Revolabs' largest global distributor, it was a natural choice to select ScanSource to help us tap into these vertical markets with our new line of UC and collaboration solutions," said Curtiss Singleton, Revolabs director of sales, the Americas, in making the announcement. "Whether it's in an executive office, an intimate huddle room, or medium- to large-sized boardroom, Revolabs' flexible UC solutions provide unparalleled audio performance for successful communication in any collaborative environment. With ScanSource as our partner, we are confident that we can convey that message to the Canadian market."

The move would seem to be a natural one for both companies. Revolabs solutions “cut the cord” so to speak, facilitating natural mobility by allowing participants to move about a workspace and still be heard, without being held back by wires. The company continues to add to its portfolio of value-added audio and telephony systems with superior products. Under this new agreement, ScanSource will offer prospective customers the Revolabs family of telephony products, including the FLX, FLX UC 500, and FLX UC 1000 conference phones; Xtag USB wireless microphone system; and Yamaha YVC 1000 microphone and speaker system. Financial details were not disclosed.
