August 20, 2014

Honored for exceptional innovation, RingCentral has been awarded a 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY TMC Labs Innovation Award for its RingCentral Meetings product.

Officials with RingCentral said that RingCentral Meetings, powered by Zoom Communications Inc., is an online meeting solution that enables web conferencing and HD video conferencing built for smartphones, tablets and computers. It works seamlessly across all platforms, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, as well as PCs and Macs.

“We are pleased to be recognized by TMC for this product,” said Kira Makagon, executive vice president of innovation at RingCentral, in a statement.

Makagon said that this award serves as confirmation that RingCentral is a leader in innovation.

“It is proof that we are meeting the needs of the new distributed and mobile workforce that leverages novel technologies to efficiently communicate with customers,” said Makagon.

Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC, said that the INTERNET TELEPHONY TMC Labs Innovation Award represents the best and the most unique products and services that this industry has to offer.

The INTERNET TELEPHONY TMC Labs Innovation Award honors products that display innovation, unique features and significant contributions toward improving communications technology.

Tehrani said that RingCentral has proven their commitment to quality and the further development of the IP communications industry through its RingCentral Meetings.

TMC is a global, integrated media company that supports clients' goals by building communities in print, online, and face to face.

TMCnet in July reported that RingCentral, Inc., a provider of cloud business phone systems, has received the "The Big Idea” Award at the recent IBF Venture Capital Investing Conference in San Francisco. The winners were announced at the Innovator Award Luncheon hosted in conjunction with the conference.

Easier to manage and more flexible than on-premises communications systems, RingCentral's cloud solution meets the needs of modern distributed and mobile workforces, while eliminating the expense and complications of on-premises traditional hardware-based systems and software. The solutions are delivered on a state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure to more than 300,000 customers across the globe.
