PGi's New App Allows Android Users to Collaborate from Anywhere

Android (News - Alert) is catching up to its counterparts as a mobile platform, and with mobile access becoming ‘non- negotiable,’ it was just a matter of time until Android apps made their presence known in the modern workplace, as an anywhere-collaboration product for businesses of all sizes.

PGi, well reputed for its virtual meeting for over 20 years, is thus ensuring that its cloud-based solution – iMeet – is available in the Google (News - Alert) play store for all Android-powered phones. iMeet's new, native Android app is advancing the online meeting category by letting users start and manage their meetings from anywhere in the world.

Commonly used for sales meetings, recruiting interviews, client service, team meetings and more, iMeet helps companies save money on travel costs while still being highly productive. With this new app, iMeet has further strengthened its multiplatform presence, which also includes access via all market-leading Web browsers.

And there’s more to come.

Fifteen people from anywhere in the world can meet up. The app allows the meeting to be controlled right from a smartphone, where even files, videos, presentations and pictures can be shared. The auto-connect eliminates the need for dial-in numbers and passcodes, and a single touch is enough to connect to the meeting.

Most importantly, iMeet claims to give world-class security. The app is available in three languages and is free for hosts and guests.

"We're excited to offer a native Android app to iMeet users to further our goal of enabling seamless and powerful business collaboration from anywhere in the world," said Boland T. Jones, founder, chairman and CEO at PGi.

PGi, a leader in virtual meetings for more than 20 years, and Plantronics (News - Alert), a global leader in audio communications for businesses and consumers, launched an integrated solution that leverages the power of contextual intelligence to make collaborative meetings more effective.
