Televic Conference Unveils uniCOS System from Latest Product Line

Televic Conference is beginning to roll out its new line of conferencing system products, starting with the release of the company’s flagship system uniCOS.

The host of interactive options included give the system its appeal, and Televic has stated that uniCOS is representative of the next step in conferencing.

The Televic uniCOS system is centered on a 19-inch rack mount device, designed in line with the company’s fresh style focus for its central equipment. The unit also features both basic and advanced control, via quick-access dial button or using Televic’s CoCon control software.

Delegates will now have options previously unavailable from Televic’s solutions, including document viewing, enhanced voting, messaging and Web access.

uniCOS works differently from Televic’s previous products, in that it transports audio, HD video and data using a high-speed conference bus over a single Cat-6 cable. The cable interconnects the delegate units in a new daisy-chain configuration.

With the popularity of tablets continuing its steady rise in the market, Televic Conference is smart to leverage tablet-like features and a similar user interface to create an interactive touchscreen conferencing tool. Users will each have their own delegate uniCOS unit, developed with a flush mount panel and high-end finishing, allowing every person involved in the conference call to access the system on a more personal, stylized and simplified display.

Individual panels combine a seven-inch touchscreen, an RFID card reader and a microphone, all on a brushed aluminum base-plate.

Televic is also touting its solution’s cost savings, as uniCOS doesn’t require any video splitters or distribution amplifiers. uniCOS is set to ship in the fourth quarter of 2013.
