Vidyo is on a Roll

2012 was a record year for Vidyo (News - Alert), with an impressive 68 percent billings growth. The video telepresence and videoconferencing provider expanded its market reach through new partnerships, successful reseller partners and quality conferencing solutions, proving both successful and profitable.

In that year, Vidyo accessed several high-profile market segments, with a 77 percent growth in the healthcare vertical and 54 percent in enterprise business. Its growth in the telehealth market helped provide new applications for patient care and physician collaboration with help from its partners, and even ended up receiving the Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) North American Video Telemedicine Customer Value Enhancement Award as a result.

Vidyo also added 24 new partners, who have a good reason to jump on board. After all, its top 25 reseller partners grew over 435 percent in aggregate from the first quarter of 2011 to the last of 2012. Among its new partners is even Nintendo, which will be using Vidyo’s innovative software platform to power the chat function of the Wii U console.

“2012 was a pivotal year for Vidyo,” says Ofer Shapiro (News - Alert), co-founder and CEO of Vidyo. “We have not only delivered tremendous business growth and market traction, but also initiated a measurable market shift that has completely transformed the video conferencing industry. We continue to demonstrate the innovation, strength and determination of a true industry leader.”

Of course, Vidyo’s success has not gone unnoticed. Along with the telemedicine award, Frost & Sullivan also awarded it the Global Video Conferencing Technology Leadership Award. The World Economic Forum also honored the company with the 2013 Technology Pioneer Award, while Wall Street Journal included Vidyo on its annual “Next Big Thing” list, as did the MIT (News - Alert) Technology Review in its “50 Most Disruptive Companies.”

Vidyo has done quite well for itself over recent years, consistently proving itself time and time again. 2012 was a great year for the company, but it’s quite likely that 2013 will also prove a successful one for it – if not, even more so.
