Vidtel Named Entrepreneurial Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan

Vidtel’s (News - Alert) recent success has not gone unnoticed, as Frost & Sullivan has taken note of its Disruptive Video Conferencing Software, having decided to honor it with its Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award.

Vidtel was smart when it came to market expansion. The company focused on the midmarket, which has plenty of potential and opportunity but is often ignored, while offering a channel-friendly model. The company also focused on dealing with interoperability issues by providing any-to-any video conferencing over the cloud, with a disruptive pricing model that encourages uptake of higher technology.

It addresses both bring your own device (BYOD) and the spread of video on mobile devices, thanks to the Vidtel MeetMe service, a cloud-based video conferencing service that can work on and between any device.

Furthermore, Vidtel has secured a go-to-market model, resulting in a channel partner program that helped it forge connections with service providers, VARs and video equipment vendors, building a strong base through which it can resell its services.

As a result, it has provided an operational expenditure that costs the company very little while still bringing in a lot. It provides a very competitive solution, focused on providing value to its customers, and has earned its recognition from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).

"The key value propositions of Vidtel's software, which eliminates the need for hardware-based multipoint control units (MCUs), are price-performance excellence, enterprise-grade service, and channel friendliness," says Ronald Gruia (News - Alert), Frost & Sullivan principal telecom analyst. "These characteristics will enable easy connections among video conferencing endpoints anywhere in the world, while leveraging cloud technologies that are more economical and scalable than existing solutions.”

2012 was a good year for Vidtel, and now everyone knows it. Frost & Sullivan is known for picking winners when it recognizes a company, and Vidtel has proven that working smart and working hard can provide massive success. The 2012 North America Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award is a great honor, and one that Vidtel has done well to earn.
