Jenne, AMX Join to Provide Integrated Meeting Room Collaboration Solutions

Jenne signed an agreement with AMX, a specialist in software-configurable meeting room control solutions, for distributing AMX’s products and solutions. Jenne distributes IP telephony, audio and video conferencing, unified communications, data networking and IT security products.

Vince Piccolomini, vice president of business development, Jenne said, “AMX’s appliance-based configurable meeting room control solutions are a perfect complement to our unified communications portfolio.”

The AMX products that will be distributed include Enova DVX meeting room appliances, Modero X-Series touch panels, control pads, lighting and client access solutions for VTC integration.

Officials explained that AMX’s new line of configurable meeting room control appliances will enable Jenne’s VTC/Unified collaboration solutions resellers to provide meeting room integration cost effectively so that they can be deployed in various meeting spaces. The meeting room solution encompasses AMX’s RPM cloud-based software. This enables the designing, implementing and setting up of a meeting room within an hour.  

“The company’s powerful hardware and software are ideal either as an add on solution to an existing unified communications system or in a new deployment. AMX’s Enova will enable our customers to deliver a complete end-to-end solution with full deployments and integration of all A/V and collaboration tools,” Piccolomini added.

Officials added that Jenne will collaborate with its resellers to train them on the AMX Enova platform to empower them with the capability to identify opportunities for deployment. Being both appliance-based and software-enabled, the AMX solution is easy to deploy and matches communications products from major vendors like Avaya and LifeSize (News - Alert).

Jay Jenkins, Manager of Distribution at AMX remarked, “Our new relationship with Jenne helps us bring a ‘game changing’ technology to a much broader audience in the channel. End Users frequently complain about requiring multiple resellers to integrate these technologies, and the lack of a single control point for these systems. With Jenne, we can offer VARs an integrated and unified platform that provides exceptional value as a one-stop-shop for their customers.”

AMX also announced the creation and launch of a new Website, designed from the ground up as a resource to assist end users in discovering the possibilities that technology automation offers them and their companies to be more productive and more efficient.
