Social Video Collaboration from Polycom and Meetrix

Polycom and Meetrix are teaming up, and together they’re providing social video collaboration services through the cloud. In their partnership, the two are integrating their respective solutions to help customers communicate and collaborate through their social business app.


The joint solution combines the Meetrix UC in the Cloud for IBM Sametime with Polycom’s RealPresence Platform. Together, they provide reliable and secure connections for visual collaboration through their social business app from the cloud. Users can connect across any environment, communicating easily no matter where they are or what they’re using.

“We’ve offered integration with IBM Sametime for years but as more customers – especially small and midsized companies – explore cloud strategies, we’re excited to partner with Meetrix, a real innovator in this space,” says Steve Pattison, Polycom’s VP of Business Development.

 “The Meetrix UC in the Cloud for IBM Sametime service allows customers to deploy IBM Sametime almost instantly, and when you integrate Polycom RealPresence video solutions into the social business environment, customers can keep their upfront costs down, leverage their existing investments, and quickly realize a return on their investment from the increased productivity of face-to-face collaboration.”

The offering is currently available for current Polycom RealPresence and Meetrix UC in the Cloud customers for no additional costs.

Individually, both are very effective and useful, with large customer bases and records of success. Together, it’s bound to be a success, helping its customers connect like never before.
