PGi Debuts GlobalMeet Community


Allowing GlobalMeet users to interact with other users on technical issues, PGi, a provider of virtual meetings, has announced the public launch of the GlobalMeet Community.

This is the second digital customer care community from PGi. Created for users of its cloud-based video conferencing solution, the iMeet Community has witnessed unprecedented customer adoption and growth since its launch in July.

GlobalMeet provides easy, inexpensive audio and Web conferencing services, online meetings and desktop sharing. It works the way the customers do; it provides powerful, easy-to-use features and is created for real people.

GlobalMeet gives users the audio and Web meetings that go where they go. It enables users to share documents, websites and applications with crystal-clear resolution. Allowing them to have one-click controls to schedule, start, manage and record meetings from their desktop, It also allows it provides a very good toolbox for outbox.

“The success of the iMeet Community proves that for most people, a quick search on the Internet is a first stop for finding answers," said Sean O'Brien, EVP of strategy and communications for PGi, in a statement. "Giving users the ability to share ideas, post questions, and receive information opens even more doors for collaboration. Recently, the company announced that Boland T. Jones, PGi founder, chairman and CEO, won a Bronze Best in Biz Award for Executive of the Year. The company also announced that David Guthrie, chief technology officer, won Gold for Technology Executive of the Year. Both of these executives were recognized for their vision and leadership in repositioning PGi to concentrate on cloud-based virtual meeting applications. The 2011 launch of iMeet and GlobalMeet is led by Jones and spearheaded by Guthrie's technical expertise.
