Comstor Partners with UCi2i to Enhance Revenue Opportunities

October 15, 2012

Westcon Group's Comstor business unit recently partnered with UCi2i, a global, independent, vendor agnostic Video Managed Services Provider. The two companies are aiming to facilitate the creation of additional partner revenue streams by way of video conferencing managed services.

UCi2i has long been a dedicated service provider for business-grade video collaboration, defining the video carrier as a new type of managed video service provider. The company's high-definition video network allows users to connect to one another from any device, to any device and regardless of both location and network. UCi2i's service features a variety of cost-effective, fixed price service plans.

Meanwhile, industry analysts have stated that the worldwide video conferencing market is expected to surpass $14 billion by 2017, driven mostly by demand from global businesses looking to communicate more effectively. UCi2i can provide the secure, high-definition environment these businesses are seeking.

"Video conferencing is exploding as global businesses see cost and efficiency savings gained by leveraging unified communications," said Andreas Dohmen, executive vice president of EMEA at Comstor. "UCi2i has proven its leadership in this space, allowing customers to become more productive via dynamic seamless communication. Together, we're transforming the manner in which businesses visually and collaboratively stay connected — all whilst giving resellers access to a massive market opportunity."

Comstor has, for more than 25 years, been dedicated to helping reseller partners worldwide accelerate business by way of Cisco and related partner solutions. In other words, Comstor provides the services and support necessary for partners to build new businesses related to unified communications.

Michael Grant, founder and group operations director at UCi2i, said, "As Westcon is a proven distributor of Cisco collaboration technology, this partnership makes perfect sense. Together, we'll help Cisco partners and customers make the most of all that visual communication has to offer."

In June, Comstor partnered with Cisco and NetApp to act as a distribution partner in EMEA for the companies' FlexPod pre-validated data center solution.
