IVCi New Solutions Enhance Video Conference Experience

Connecting a group of local participants with remote participants is a common challenge among organizations. Previously, everyone would have to join individually or participants would have to crowd around a PC. It lowers the audio and video quality of the meeting apart from being uncomfortable.

IVCi unveiled two new solutions: the UC Room and UC Mobile systems. Both systems are designed to deliver high levels of audio and video fidelity while allowing for the ease of use that customers expect from UC clients.

"UC solutions allow users to seamlessly collaborate with fellow employees, partners, and vendors, right from their desktops. Anything from screen sharing to video conferencing can be accomplished with the click of a button. However, users have lacked the ability to effortlessly bring the UC experience into a conference room," Tim Hennen, senior vice president of audio visual integration, IVCi, said in a statement.

THE UC ROOM is a configurable, PC-based solution that allows an organization to extend its desktop video client into a conference room setting. Video is obtained either through a PC card located in the display or from a local laptop connection that automatically switches when engaged. Once installed, participants simply walk into the UC Room, activate the display and begin their conference. Participants will be presented with high levels of audio and video quality.

The UC Mobile is a cart-based solution that allows users to easily move the system into any room, transforming that environment into a video conferencing room. Participants simply connect their laptops to the system and launch the desktop video application of their choice. The video conference is then displayed on the screen while a camera and microphone send audio and video to far-end parties. Plus, with easy content display options, UC Group systems can double as presentation rooms when video is not in use.

"Visual collaboration has really moved into the mainstream and organizations are looking for flexible solutions that allow them to bring their own platform without sacrificing audio and video quality. With the UC Room and UC Mobile, IVCi has delivered a unique and customizable solution that truly extends the reach of collaboration," added Hennen.

IVCi was recently renewed as an InfoComm International Diamond Certified Audio Visual Solutions Provider.
