Offering the latest of technologies and making both the work and play more enjoyable, Plantronics (News - Alert) has introduced Plantronics (PLT) Voyager Legend, the company’s new headset.

Allowing the user to quickly take a call without a click, the Smart Sensor technology provided in the headset reacts when the user puts the headset on.

Voyager Legend announces the caller and waits for the user to say "Answer" or "Ignore," if the user is already wearing it.

Users can simply tap the voice command button and ask to check battery level, connection status and more.

Voyager Legend is the first truly intelligent Bluetooth headset with this advanced technology.

“Plantronics is well known for its pioneering work in advancing communications technologies, and the new Voyager Legend epitomizes that legacy,” said Renee Niemi, senior vice president of Communications Solutions at Plantronics. “With its built-in Smart Sensor technology that relays information about call state, the Voyager Legend is unlike anything on the market today. So, whether you’re a mobile professional, commuter, a business traveler, or anyone who needs to be connected to friends, family or work with amazing audio quality in the most demanding environments”

With dedicated buttons for call answer/end, voice commands, power and mute, usability advances offer comfort and control.

Optional accessories, which consist of a battery-powered carrying case for charging on-the-go and a desktop charging stand for when the user touches down, ensure the headset is ready for calls.

Recently, the company made use of ThreeWill and Datahug, to introduce a new kind of CRM system with a set of tools specially created for the busy sales rep who requires information about potential clients, and requires it quickly. Apart from allowing the quick dissemination of crucial information, the tools in question – Popcorn and Datahug – will allow for integration between a sales rep's smartphone and his or her PC.
