T-Mobile Announces Open Europe Flat-Rate Monthly Fee Plan for Business Customers

A recent survey report by Global Business Travel Association indicated that International outbound travel would continue to drastically outpace domestic travel among U.S. business travelers, especially CIOs and decision makers, by the end of this year.

And according to some, a considerable portion of international trips made by U.S. business travelers are made to European countries.

Consequently, data usage has increased among the business travelers in U.S. and many have expressed concern over the high costs associated with international data roaming.

In an effort to address these expenses and help U.S. business travelers going to Europe often, T-Mobile (News - Alert) USA, Inc. has introduced a new flat-rate unlimited data feature, T-Mobile Open Europe, for business customers.

Apart from addressing the increasing demand for data and the costs associated with international data roaming, the new Open Europe data plan fulfills businesses’ desire for more predictable costs by providing the $50/line per month pricing.

Available to business customers in August, the new T-Mobile Open Europe plan provides business customers with unlimited data, including up to 500 MB full-speed data, within 28 European countries with no international roaming tolls.

“Of the millions of international trips U.S. business travelers make each year, a significant portion are made to European countries,” Frank Sickinger, vice president, business sales at T-Mobile USA, said in a statement. “For these customers, our new T-Mobile Open Europe data feature dramatically reduces costly international data roaming tolls, controls the risk of data roaming ‘bill shock’, and provides data connectivity required to conduct business from London to Moscow – all for a predictable $50 monthly fee.”

Supporting CIOs and IT decision makers as they navigate the challenges of international mobility, the new plan offers a range of solutions and complements the company’s existing portfolio of international offers and solutions for business customers, including: Wi-Fi Calling for Business, T-Mobile Global for Business and T-Mobile Global Corporate Access.

T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi Calling solutions help business customers to avoid international roaming fees when accessing global hotspots and also enhance coverage and data access in areas where a cellular network signal is limited or unavailable.

The company’s pay-per-use option T-Mobile Global for Business plan is designed for a low monthly access fee of $9.99 per month per line.

T-Mobile Global Corporate Access solution offers easy, secure online access to corporate tools and resources from more than 700,000 domestic and international hotspots across the globe.
