RHUB (News - Alert) Communications, Inc. recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with Otovation, provider of advanced solutions and tools for Hearing Care Professionals. Under the terms of the contract, both companies will collaborate to drive RHUB’s RemoteEAR technology solution. RHUB Communications (News - Alert) is a provider of web conferencing and remote support appliance technology solutions.

The RemoteEAR technology has been designed to provide hearing care professionals with conferencing and remote diagnostic services. The technology makes it easy for an audiologist as well as other hearing care professionals to carry out an exam and offer the patient face-to-face counselling.

In a release, Dave Davis, president and CEO of Otovation, said that, "We knew that RHUB's web, video conferencing, and hub technology would be an excellent platform for our RemoteEAR system. We were looking for a solution that is secure, reliable and affordable, and RHUB's technology met our needs better than any other product on the market."

A diagnostic exam conducted with RemotEAR involves audiometry, tympanometry, and video otoscopy, as well as otoacoustic emissions testing. RemoteEAR only requires a high-speed Internet connection, and has been designed for use in a local-area or wide-area network environment.

Larry Dorie, CEO of RHUB, said that, "The RemoteEAR system is a simple, affordable, secure and flexible way to assess patients at a remote office location, and we are thrilled to partner with Otovation. And it's a perfect example of how our technology is helping transform the way professionals work in today's world."

By using the service, a hearing care professional can take care of the entire diagnostic exam along with an assistant at the office where the patient is present. RemoteEAR also includes secure and comprehensive capabilities which enable easy management of the patient care process.
