May 08, 2012

Vidyo is a company that provides complete telepresence solution portfolio for video conferencing from any end-point over any network. The company's solutions do not need any expensive network upgrades. Vidyo provides room system, desktop, and mobile video conferencing solutions. The company's VidyoRouter architecture offers low latency HD-quality multipoint video conferencing over ordinary data networks to any end-point.

Recently, the company announced that its conferencing solutions have met the DoD Joint Interoperability Test Command’s (JITC) requirements, including related Defense Switch Network (DSN) and IPV6 interoperability requirements.

Federal, state and local government bodies rely on Vidyo for high quality, accessible and secure video conferencing. Vidyo provides HD video conferencing with mobile, desktop and room-based endpoints over IP networks. The Vidyo Conferencing platform provides various innovative video conferencing options to support government initiatives. These initiatives include improved interagency collaboration and information sharing, improved training and distance learning programs, operational continuity, and telework, the company stated in a press release.

“Vidyo's award-winning solution is perfectly suited to the needs of government customers, with special consideration for agencies that require high information assurance and interoperability, but need to be budget-conscious at the same time," said Ofer Shapiro, Vidyo's co-founder and CEO. "Vidyo's products are currently used by the Federal government, and this JITC Certification enables us to further extend our reach to other departments and agencies looking to expand their collaboration beyond the conference room to the desktop, mobile, and tactical.”

Recently, the company joined hands with AMD Global Telemedicine, a supplier of medical technology for clinical telemedicine to combine Vidyo's software-based solution with AMD's telemedicine platform. This partnership is expected to help clinicians simplify their workflow with a single user interface that combines visual communication with information from medical devices and medical records. The solution integrates Vidyo’s Healthcare line with AMD Global's integrating software.
