AltiGen Works with Callvine to Offer High-Def Voice Conferencing on iPhone

AltiGen Communications, a provider of software-based Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC), announced a partnership with Callvine, a source of high-definition audio conferencing solutions, to offer high-definition video conferencing on the iPhone (News - Alert).

The partnership leverages the high-definition audio conferencing capabilities of Callvine, and the UC expertise of AltiGen, to deliver free high-definition audio conferencing when using the iFusion SmartStation with Callvine's (News - Alert) HD Voice Conferencing iPhone application.

The iFusion SmartStation is a multi-function iPhone docking station. It pairs the iPhone with the iFusions' ergonomic handset or business-grade speakerphone via built-in Bluetooth. iFusion, according to Callvine officials, is an ideal tool for business users that rely on iPhone for conference calls.

"Callvine is the leading provider of high-definition audio conferencing on the iPhone and its free app and service is a great complement to the iFusion SmartStation," said Rudy Prince, Callvine CEO. "With Callvine, the iFusion delivers superior HD sound quality for conferencing using its comfortable handset or its convenient speakerphone.”

“The ability to dock and charge the phone while joining a conference over Wi-Fi makes conferencing both easy and convenient while virtually eliminating dropped calls within buildings," Prince added.

iFusion offers several benefits to home and business users. It delivers a high quality, wideband audio speaker phone, a comfortable telephone handset and embedded audio ports to connect stereo speakers. The solution supports voice-enabled applications such as Callvine's HD Voice Conferencing.

iFusion allows streaming music playback (A2DP). An audio jack for external speakers and USB pass through for syncing to a Mac or PC is provided. The iPhone dock also charges the iPhone, and is compatible with the iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S.

"We see business use of high-definition audio rapidly expanding and apps such as Callvine are bringing HD Voice capabilities to the iPhone," said AltiGen (News - Alert) VP of Sales Mike Plumer. "With iFusion and Callvine, business users can now quickly and easily bring the power of HD Voice to their desktops and conference rooms."

Earlier this year, AltiGen announced AltiGen’s MaxACD Contact Center has passed Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync ISV Qualification Program requirements. AltiGen's MaxACD Contact Center for Lync helps provide an easily deployable, manageable and feature-rich call center for Lync.
