Stargazer Video Chat Joins Online Dating Trend

As the popularity of online dating communities and chat rooms continues to grow, Stargazer Video Chat founder Andre Starr believes that his company has much more to offer visitors than your typical run-of-the-mill dating website.

“Online dating is at a strong upwards trend,” said Starr. “We see people in chat rooms that come from all corners of the world to find friendship and love. This gives everyone an opportunity to see and meet people and talk to others in a casual group setting.”

Unlike many traditional online dating sites, Stargazer Video Chat does not focus on member profiles. Anyone can join the site and immediately start meeting people. Singles using its video chat rooms have the opportunity to see potential dates live and are not required to fill out or read lengthy profile data. Starr believes that it gives singles a more accurate idea of how potential dates look and act, and increases the chances of meeting a perfect match.

In a 2011 study by Gallup, over 30 percent of Internet users have used online dating websites, with an additional 15 percent having used video chat services such as Skype (News - Alert) and other similar applications.

According to various reports, the online dating industry grew to nearly 2 billion dollars, and its methods and processes have evolved over the years. Originally, dating sites remained simplistic and were more about matching specific personality traits.

Nowadays, more scientific methods are used such as match-making algorithms, and many sites have added chat rooms and video chat to aide in finding that special somebody.

Stargazer Video Chat looks to grow its community to support the constantly increasing demand for dating services. “Twenty percent of Americans will be in a committed relationship with a partner they met online,” said Starr. “We are very proud to be a part of this growing trend.”
