BT Conferencing CEO Shares UC Views at ITEXPO East



 TMC has announced that Aaron McCormack, CEO of BT Conferencing, will deliver a keynote address at ITEXPO East on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 10:30 a.m., in the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The session will illustrate how unified communications is helping leaders inspire and align their employees to achieve exponential increases in innovation and productivity as well as reduce travel costs and achieve a greener footprint. McCormack will present his views on the direction of unified communications solutions, including how to extend your audio infrastructure to include the most engaging communication medium -- video -- as well as Web collaboration services and mobile devices.

McCormack was appointed CEO of BT (News - Alert) Conferencing in May 2006. He oversees BT’s Conferencing and Collaboration businesses worldwide. In March 2008, the World Economic Forum named McCormack one of its Young Global Leaders. This prestigious accolade is given to exceptional leaders under age 40, for their professional accomplishments, their commitment to society, and for their potential to help shape the future of the world through their inspirational leadership.

McCormack has held a variety of positions with BT and its joint ventures – including those with AT&T (News - Alert) and MCI. Prior to his time at BT Conferencing, he served as vice president of BT’s Global Products division since 2002, where he was responsible for all of BT’s networked IT businesses. McCormack has worked extensively in sales, service, product marketing and product development, where he has lived and worked throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. He continues to take an active role in BT’s merger and acquisition activities, business development, and he is BT’s age diversity champion, as well as being a non-executive director of companies within the BT Group (News - Alert).

McCormack holds a master’s degree in Engineering, Business and French from the Queen’s University of Belfast. He divides his time between Omagh, Northern Ireland and Boston.
