SimpleSignal, TurboBridge Partner on Adding HD Audio Conferencing

October 05, 2010

SimpleSignal and TurboBridge partnered on making an HD telephone audio conferencing service, available to SimpleSignal's installed user base.

With this agreement, SimpleSignal customers are equipped to add the "Simple Conferencing" feature to their service plan and immediately experience the benefit of enjoying HD audio conferencing.

Both Simple Conferencing and TurboBridge access numbers are now routed directly to the TurboBridge service allowing a TurboBridge customer, also a customer of Simple Conferencing to connect directly to TurboBridge via the Internet. This way the traditional public switched telephone network is completely bypassed and thus a direct connection virtually eliminates the risk of dropped or low call quality calls, as well as allow for HD audio using the G.722 CODEC.

Dave Giblert, president at SimpleSignal, commented in a press release that peering with TurboBridge has eliminated a major obstacle in enabling end-to-end HD audio. Giblert noted that TurboBridge is another component of its strategy of partnering with key Internet-based services and offering them to its customers.

"SimpleSignal is a leader in shaping the future of telecommunications, delivering such innovations as cloud-based services, HD audio and unified communications", said Chris Koehncke, president of TurboBridge. "We are proud to partner with them," Koehncke added.
