Jan 29, 2013 (AME Info - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- INDIA'S STRATEGY ACADEMY LAUNCHES ONLINE BUSINESS COURSE IN OMAN: India-based Strategy Academy, in association with Jadavpur University, is planning to offer a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship (PGDME) for working business people in Oman, Times of Oman has reported. The one-year course will be held online through a two-way interactive live video conferencing platform, which can be accessed online using students' personal computers. PGDME is held for nine months and certified by Jadavpur University School of Education Technology and The Strategy Academy Centre for Advanced Studies (TSACAS). The Business Leaders Programme is held for three months after the PGDME has finished.

PERFORMANCE OF DUBAI'S INDIAN SCHOOLS ALMOST UNCHANGED: The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has said the number of students attending poorly performing Indian curriculum schools in Dubai has nearly doubled over the past four years, Gulf News has reported. The number rose from 2,277 students attending unsatisfactory schools in 2009 to 4,121 students currently enrolled at such schools, the regulator said. According to results of the inspection conducted by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB), there was no significant change in the overall performance of Indian Curriculum schools from last year, as only two Indian curriculum schools, Buds Public School and Little Flowers English school, have improved from unsatisfactory to acceptable.

ZAMIL HIGHER INSTITUTE TO TRAIN SAUDI ARAMCO PERSONNEL: Saudi-based Zamil Higher Institute for Industrial Training (ZHIIT) has signed a two-year training agreement with Saudi Aramco to provide professional training to 102 of the company's apprentices, Saudi Gazette has reported. The first year of the training programme is academically oriented, with English language and mathematics included within other subject lessons, while technical and work related skills will be delivered during the second year of the programme.

INDIAN SCHOOL TO BUILD $6.63M CAMPUS IN BAHRAIN: The Indian School in Bahrain's West Riffa has launched a project to build a BD2.5m ($6.63m) campus, Gulf Daily News has reported. The new campus is being constructed as the contract for the school's Sitra campus expires in September. The three-story building, covering 13,592 sq m, will have six blocks with 102 classrooms, computer and science laboratories, an art room and music room.
