Morten Hagland Hansen Appointed RigNet's Vice President - Business Services

HOUSTON, Jan 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- RigNet, Inc. (Nasdaq:RNET), a leading global provider of managed remote communications solutions to the oil and gas industry, announced today the appointments of Morten Hagland Hansen to Vice President - Business Services and Boyd Skelton to Director - Products and Solutions.

"Morten Hansen has demonstrated success in several important roles over his long tenure at RigNet. In his new role, Mr. Hansen's primary responsibility will be to work across the sales, engineering, operations, products/solutions and marketing functions to ensure seamless workflows as RigNet develops, provisions and supports remote communications solutions around the world. He previously served as Vice President, Global Engineering and Operations. He has more than 15 years of experience in information technology and telecoms engineering, design and deployment.

Mr. Skelton previously served as Manager - Planning and Corporate Development. He is now assuming a new and important role developing and managing products and solutions for RigNet's customers that meet their current and anticipated needs. Mr. Skelton has a BA in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business.
