Citrix and Shanghai Telecom to offer GoToMeeting with HDFaces in China

Nov 22, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Citrix Systems, Inc., a provider of virtual computing solutions, has announced a partnership with Shanghai Telecom, a telecommunication operator in China, to offer its flagship web conferencing and online meeting tool, GoToMeeting with HDFaces, to customers in China.

Shanghai Telecom will package the GoToMeeting with their services to offer customers a new compelling collaboration service. Citrix GoToMeeting with HDFaces delivers integrated high-definition group video and audio for a natural, real-time, face-to-face web collaboration experience.

The service enables anyone with an internet connection and either a Mac or PC to host, attend and participate in an online meeting. GoToMeeting is also available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, enabling people to join online meetings from any location with their mobile devices.

GoToMeeting will be sold by Shanghai Telecom under the name of Huiytong starting in October 2012. Customers will be able to conduct unlimited online meetings for up to 25 attendees for one low fee per month.

"The addition of GoToMeeting to Shanghai Telecom's market-leading communications solutions provides customers with a simple-to-use, real-time collaboration tool that offers a great customer experience and improves team productivity," said Brett Caine, SVP and GM for the Online Services Division at Citrix.

"At Citrix, we have long believed that work is no longer a place we go but a thing we do, and tools that enable teams regardless of location to meet and work collaboratively are essential for business success. By partnering with Shanghai Telecom, we will bring these capabilities to a large and growing workforce seeking simplicity, value and business success."
